She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Butts (Reese) and Hugh Gardner; her husband L. V. Brown; and her sister Mary Louise Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Anthony Brown (Gwendolyn), Cal Brown, Sarah Wilson (Eugene II), Terri Porter (Cornelius), Elve Brown Sr. (Crystal) and Lori Twitty (Richard); her grandchildren, Royale Brown (Trevis), Quentin Brown (Abby), Eugene III Wilson (Bianca), Lawrence Wilson (Brandi), Elizabeth Wilson, CeCe Wilson, Jermail, Justin Porter, Brittany Bates (Christian), Elve Brown Jr., Shirelle Higgins, Aleya, Alaya Veal, Larry Jr., V. Laree and Cortazhia Walker; her sister Renee; and her close friend Carla Arnold. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church families, and friends.
