He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Saverno and Dolores Saverno; and his former wife Joan. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lee; his siblings, Carol and Louis (Holly); his daughter Sandy Kovarik (Jeff); his grandchildren, Cassie, Matt, Ali, Megan and Ray; and his stepchildren, Christine Kouri (Onie), Mary Beers (Dan) and John Kouri. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, Akron Chapel (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Hilary Catholic Church (2750 W Market St, Fairlawn, OH 44333). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 12:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
