He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Prexta and Helen Prexta (Adzema); and his brothers, Michael Prexta and Richard Prexta. He is survived by: his son Shawn Prexta (Shawna Graubner); his grandsons, Shawn "Bubba" Prexta and Gabriel Prexta; and his brother Robert Prexta (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Ghost Ukrainian Byzantine Church.
