He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Peterson and Marion Peterson (Sutcliffe); his brothers, Jerry and Eddie Peterson; his brother-in-law Carl Wolverton (Gene); his close friend Vern Durkee; and his niece Diane.

He is survived by: his nephews, Eddie Peterson and Carl Wolverton (Rab); his siblings, Donald Peterson (Michelle) and Marilynn Peterson-Wolverton (Carl); and his niece Debra Gabriel. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
