He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; and his parents, Caroline (Iobst) and Irving. He is survived by: his brother James (Ann); his daughters, Gail (Bob), Gena (Brian), Kris (Tim) and Kim (Greg); his stepdaughters, Tammy (Charlie), Kim (Stan) and Tara (Jeff); his grandchildren, Matthew, TJ, Mike, Ashley (Phil), Alexis (Jake), Brock (Crystal), Lindsey (Dave), Abby, Justin, Faith and Zach; and his great grandchildren, Cali, Cole, Hadley, Everly, Hudson, Jayce, Hayden, Harper and Owen.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robert Wegelin Legacy Scholarship to Akron SPE, 250 S. Forge St., Akron, OH 44325, in Bob's memory.
