Richard Friend Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Friend (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on September 11, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Richard Friend; and his siblings, Libby, Edward, Donald, Leah, Patricia and Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Friend (Olga), Christopher Friend (Kate), Shawn Friend-Begin (Dennis), Tracy Logan (Chris) and Patrick Friend (Jennifer). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Fraternal Order of Police #7, 2610 Ley Dr., Akron, OH 44319, or the Cleveland Clinic Heart Foundation.
