He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franick and Ethel Franick; his daughter Tamara Mallett; and his siblings, Barbara Svetic, Jack and Tom Franick.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Franick; his children, Nicolas Franick and Rebekah McConnell; his grandchildren, RJ, Parker Franick, Jesse, Ethan, Griffin, Cade Dieckhoner, Sawyer Mallett, Scout McConnell, Sean and Eva Franick; and his sisters, Joan Scanlon and Susie Kemeny of Milwaukee.
