With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard R. Ashburn (Akron, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 7, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Reverend Richard R. Ashburn, Sr. and Eugene Holmes. He is survived by : his sons, Aaron Cedric (Courtney) and Joseph Elliott (Tiffany); his stepdaughter Alexandra Kaplan; his wife Lisa Kaplan Ashburn; his grandchildren, Keira, Olivia, Aaron Jr. and Spencer; his siblings, Jennifer, Jacob (Patricia), James Ronald and Alfred; and his cousin Carolyn. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel (85 N Miller Rd, Akron, OH 44333). A memorial service was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
