He was predeceased by: his parents, Norval Berentz and Anna Berentz. He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his children, Michele Minor, Stephen Berentz (Michele) and Craig Berentz (Michelle); his grandchildren, Arden Minor and Alexis Berentz; and his siblings, Rodney Berentz (Shara), Robert Berentz (Charlotte), Marlene Canepa (Joel), Bruce Berentz (Marcia), Nancy Olitsky and Gregg Berentz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 21 at 1:00 p. m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron, Ohio followed by a private burial due to covid considerations.
In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
