He was predeceased by: his parents, Josef Pum (Maria Hirnikl) and Kathy Pum; his brother Andreas Pum; his brother-in-law Hans Hirnikl; his brother Edward Bender; his son-in-law Edward Bender; and his nephews, John Pum and Paul Ganz.

He is survived by: his children, Hildegard Bender, Gabriela Deiulis (Aldo) and Robert Hirnikl (Amy); his grandchildren, Jessica Bender (Eric), Elliot Bender (Callie), Daniela Rosenberger (Nate), Ariana Fair (Chris), Spencer and Grant Hirnikl; and his great grandchildren, Maizie and Rhett Rosenberger.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
