He was predeceased by: his parents, Jethro Stephens and Emma Laura Stephens (Miles); and his siblings, William James Stephens, Pauline and Cecilia Ann Stephens (Hamilton).

He is survived by: his sister Claudester Stephens; his nieces, Anita Cecilia Stephens and Carla LaJuan Sykes; his nephew William James Stephens, II; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Destine', Trinity, Tamara, Arman, William III, Trevon, Isaiah and Cory; and also, Destin and Jadence. He is also survived by cousins, dear friends.
