He is survived by: his children, Heather Mellion and Marc Mellion (Maja); his grandson Mason; his stepgrandsons, Julian and Aidan Stevovic; his sisters, Patricia McDermott (Jack), Christine Mellion and Mary Lynn Mellion; his niece Carole Lisy (Ron); and his nephew Neil Yengling.
