She was predeceased by: her husband Rudy; her parents, Petco Gechoff and Stanka Gechoff; her siblings, Chris Gechoff and Rose Beck; and her in-laws, Mary, Tony, Jane, Maxine DiDonato, Joanne Staats, George Beck and Dana Gechoff.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph (Marina), Rebecca DiDonato Heimbaugh, Laurie Walton (Fred), John (Jennifer) and Christine Lavigne (Paul); her grandchildren, Alissa, Anthony (DiDonato), Elizabeth, Joseph, Nicholas (Heimbaugh), Brent, Natalie (Walton), Joshua, Daniel, Emily (William Cvammen) and Rachel (DiDonato); and her in-laws, Bobby, Eugene and Bonnie DiDonato. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301). A rosary was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Catholic Church (1580 Brown St, Akron, OH 44301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Patti's memory be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church Ladies Guild or to Open M Ministry.
