She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Straughn and Ethel Straughn; her husband Rufus Anderson; her siblings, Booker T., Robert Straughn "Billy Joe", Elizabeth Johnson, Juanita Walker and Bessie Milton; and her children, Mary Jones, Micheal Anderson and Danny Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Gwen Ware, Renetta Smith, Shirley Singfield, John and Anthony Anderson (Candace). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and over 30 great and great-great grandchildren; she also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
