With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary K. McCarty of Akron, Ohio, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her grandson Luke McCarty. She is survived by: her children, Eugene McCarty, Bernie Joyce and Barbie Meehan.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (2569 Romig Rd # 301, Akron, OH 44320).
