He was predeceased by: his father David Holmes; and his siblings, Thornton Holmes, David Holmes, Jr. and Patricia Bufford. He is survived by: his son Mark Holmes of Akron, OH; his siblings, Michael Holmes of Santa Ana, CA., Donna Jones of Locust, NC, Faye Holmes of Locust, NC and Juanita Johnson of Akron, OH.; and his aunt Mangia Holmes of Akron, OH.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
