Marita left this world on April 13, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Donald and Amelia Jeannette Seifert (Youngblood); her daughter Janis Dean (Bruce); and her siblings, Evelyn Petit (George), Ruth Oser (Ollie), Helen Petit (Elmer), Janet Paridon (Regis), Joan Wehling (Dick), Miriam, Donald (Helen), Robert (Marilyn), Ivan (Rita), Raymond C. P. P. and Dick (Margie).
She is survived by: her husband Bob (Bob); her children, Diane, Cheryl Burley (William), Robert (Lori) and Tim (Julie); her grandchildren, Amelia (Nick), Robert (Sarah), Amanda (Michael), Audrey (Tom), Timothy and Mallory; her great grandchildren, Oliver, Elliot, Robert, Madeleine, Palmer, Graeme and Aspen; and her sister Carol Hoover (Richard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hummel Funeral Home - Copley (3475 Copley Rd, Akron, OH 44321). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Sebastian Church (476 Mull Ave, Akron, OH 44320).
