With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mamie Rhea Toole (Akron, Ohio), born in Pachuta, Mississippi, who passed away on January 6, 2024 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivy Jordan and Millie Bender Jordan; her husband Albert Toole, Sr.; her children, Sandra (Cheryle Franklin), Sara Lash, Frances Brooks, Donahue Shropshire, Albert Jr. and Alfred Toole; her siblings, James, Ivy, Burnice, Ezkiel Jordan, Troy Jones, Annie Elliott, Hattie Coleman, Mary Wilson, Ziporah Rhodes, Lillian Jordan Austin and Kathleen Welch; her grandson Benjamin Lash; and her sister Sara Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Myrna Johnson, Kathryn Jiminez, Kella Solomon (Dejale), Rosa Price, Wayne Ivey Jordan and Malcolm Lash Sr.; her nieces and nephews, Michael Brooks (Benita), Randall Coleman, Wilbur (Deborah), Burnice Jordan (Diane), Cynthia and Gail Brooks; her godson Garry Dirden; her siblings, Carol Joyce Finley-Johnson, Dorothy Welch and Renard Harmon; her goddaughters, Kelly Davison-Shaw and Dr. Candance Cooper; and her caregiver Isibe Ysumde. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
