Madeline Strauss Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Madeline Strauss (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on December 22, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Workman and Evelyn Workman; her husbands, James Showalter, Sr. and Thomas Strauss; her children, Michael Showalter and Mary Chris Showalter Thomas; and her grandson Christopher Showalter.

She is survived by: her children, James Showalter Jr. (Jaye), Patti Showalter Higgins and Edward Showalter (Pam Myers); her son-in-law Andy Thomas (Lori); her grandchildren, Brad Higgins (Melissa), Megan Higgins (Bill), Kelcey Showalter, Mackenzie Manos (Nate), Taylor Beitel (Klay), Candace Weinhardt (Ken) and Brynne Schafer (Todd); and her great grandchildren, Dominic, Lily, Cole, Liam, James, Kendall, Kaeden, Blakely, Lochlyn, Kennedy and Kassidy.
