She is survived by: her husband David Woods; her children, Scott, Avante Caldwell (Tiffany) and Evongela Perry; her siblings, James Avent (Maxine), Edward Avent (Ruth), Richard Avent (Detra) and Geraldine Avent; and her grandchildren, Danaya, Dayla, Kimari, Avante Jr., Mariah, Avonii, Makayla Caldwell, Jasmine, Kayla and Janae Perry.
