She was predeceased by: her parents, Lizzie Yinger and Earl Yinger; her husband Robert "Bud" Yates; her son-in-law Charles "Chuck" Davis; her granddaughters, Violet, Marla Carter and Cassandra "Munchie" Davis; and her siblings, Jerry Adkins, Sandy and Barb.

She is survived by: her daughter Virginia Davis of Akron; her grandchildren, Brandie McGowan (Shaderra), Jennifer Davis (John), Peter Howell and Charlie "Bubba" Davis; her great grandchildren, Imari McGowan (Tim), Peter Davis (Kaitlyn), Charles Davis III and Milani McGowan (Von); her grandchildren, Howell, Anthony Davis, Lena Davis, Jordan and Leah; her great great grandchildren, Josiah Davis and Nova; and her siblings, Bob Jr., Tim, Bonnie and Linda. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
