It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois E Brooks (Akron, Ohio), born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jerome L. Brooks; her brothers, Alfonso Ellis and Van Ellis, Jr.; her children, Paul "Lionel", Duke (Tiffany), Vallina "Lina" Smith (Kelly), Jerome "Leon" Brooks, Sr., Jarvis "Jay" Brooks (Nikki), Alisa "Lisa" Bridges (DeMario), Phyllis "Cookie" McGowan, Darius "Boo" Brooks and Zenobia "Nodie" Watts (Kareem); and her grandchildren, Tiphanie "Gianni", Paul "Edward", Antwon, Mikel, Latisha, Victoria, Lionel, Destiny, Christopher, Cameron, Danielle, Damaris, Jerome, Courtney, Makenzie, Makayla, Taylor, Vaugh "Michael", Meshia, DeMario, Jr., Kameron, Shemeka, Tanyel, Ronnette, Ronnika, Tyenise and Ronald, Jr.. She was also cherished by 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations towards cemetery costs.
