He was predeceased by: his parents, Tives Hayes and Laura Hayes; his siblings, Dixie Miller (Weldon), Morris Hayes (Eleanor), Robert Hayes (Betty) and Lon Hayes (Janet); and his daughter Cynthia J. Perkins.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Hayes; his sisters, Betty Combs (Eddie) and Rose Henson (David); his daughters, Debra Griffin (Cletus), Valerie Young (Dennis) and Caroline Perkins (Steve); his grandchildren, Justin Litko (Tiffany), Jonathan Griffin (Miriam), Michael Young (Stephanie) and Lindsay Young; his great grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob Litko and Olivia Young; his stepchildren, Judy Pritchard, Thomas Kelly (Peggy) and Leilani Bever (Kenneth); and his stepgrandchildren, Patricia Grimm (Ronald), Megan Preston (Bill), Rodney Pritchard (Angela), Christel Durbec (Shane), Priscilla Adams (Roy), Cole Bever (Carissa) and Carlee Bever.
