It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis E. Nelson (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Lewis had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Lewis may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Carolyn Nelson; and his brother William Nelson. He is survived by: his father Lewis W. Nelson; his wife Lori McLaughlin-Nelson; his sister Lorianne Phillips (Calvin); and his sister-in-law Theresa Nelson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bud's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
