He is survived by: his cousin Catherine Huffman; his son Kevin; his daughter-in-law Amanda Sims of Akron, Ohio; his daughter Cherrian Jones of Barberton, Ohio; his former wife Shirley Sims of Barberton, Ohio; his grandchildren, Kevin, Jamari and Janica; his great grandchildren, Noah, Kevin, Jr., Melani and River; his siblings, Joe Sims of Akron, Dr. Charles Sims of Louisville, Zettie Sims of Canton, Richard Sims (Sandee) of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Audrey Sims of Barberton, Ohio; his cousins, Tisha Henderson (Jesse) of Chesapeake and Virginia; his uncle Esau Sims of Spring Hill, Florida; his aunts, Louise Sims-Askew of Barberton, Gwendolyn Richardson (John) of Notasulga, Alabama and Alice Sims of Notasulga, Alabama; his close friends, Judy Spitler, Hureara and Big; his pet Baker of Columbus, Ohio; and also Paul Watson, Sr. (Bonita) of Sandusky, Ohio.
