He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lawrence Rodgers and Louisa Rodgers; his siblings, Hillie, Nathaniel, William, Willie B, Michael Rodgers, Hattie Mae, Evelyn, Peggy and Ernestine; and his children, Teresa and Robert.
He is survived by: his sister Shirley Barkley; his sisters-in-law, Carrie Rodgers and Freda Rodgers; his close friend Brenda Robinson; his children, Larry, Paul Rodgers, Angela and Ursula Rodgers; and his grandchildren, Nastashia, Tina, Sherdaryl and Larry. He is also survived by nieces, nephew's family and friends.
