David Merrell wrote a sympathy message

“Condolences to the family of Larry Cox. Larry was among the quirkiest of our class whether at football practice, in a classroom, in the hall, or just at a social event. He managed to retain his behavior through several class reunions, which were the only times I would see long after graduation--Texas to Akron is long and after the 80s, I had no family there. I always looked forward to our reunions and was quite saddened when our 2020 reunion had to be cancelled. I hoped to see him & others..”

harvey silver wrote a sympathy message

“i met larry when were about 13 years old. over the years we developed a friendship based on mutual respect, despite being two very different persons. We were for sure the odd couple. But for some reason, though separated by miles and years we would periodically phone each other to keep in touch. I will miss him; his laugh; and sense of humor. He lived life on his terms. Not many people can say that.”
