He was predeceased by: his parents, James Goodwin and Irene Goodwin (Allshouse); and his brothers, David Goodwin and James Goodwin. He is survived by: his wife Dee; his children, Karen Goodwin and Kenny Goodwin (Michelle); his grandchildren, Kevin, Jade and Jared; and his siblings, Rick Goodwin (Susan), Don Goodwin (Becky), Joe Goodwin and Debbie Bonnette (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
