It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Melinda Peterson (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Peterson and Gwen Peterson (Segerlund). She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda Filoia (Rakich) and Megan McDowell (Barna); her sons-in-law, Pat Filoia and Cory McDowell; her grandchildren, Massimo (Max) and Olivia; her sister Gwynn (Hart); her brother-in-law Richard; her nieces, Melissa Hawkins and Melanie Fraley; and her cousin Herb Rush.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to one of these local programs supporting children in the community: The Giving Doll or Pegasus Farm in Kay's name.
