With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen M. Brookman (Akron, Ohio), born in Hinton, West Virginia, who passed away on April 11, 2023 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maryann Williams (Betleyoun) and John Ezra Brookman; her close friend Charles Hayes; her stepfather Richard Betleyoun Sr.; and her nephew Bryan Hegwood (Betleyoun).
She is survived by: her children, Buffy (Michael), Mary (Lukk) and Charles (Felicia); and her grandchildren, Ashley, Tiara, Charnai, Talia of Anthony, JR, Nikolas, Kayleeana, Young Johnny, Binaka, Breanna, Ezra, Mackenna, Caroline (Unique), Darrius, Carson, Charlie, Riley and King. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren (and 1 on the way); numerous nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eckard Baldwin to assist the family with funeral expenses during this difficult time.
