It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Pizzoferrato (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Joy departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joy. Though Joy may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Wilson and Eileen Wilson; her brothers, Terry and Rick Wilson; and her husband Domenic Pizzoferrato.
She is survived by: her son Toby Ratliff (Christine); her grandchildren, Eleanor Ratliff and Ian Ratliff; and her brothers, David Wilson (Alpana), Brian Wilson (Becky) and Ron Wilson (Susan).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
