He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Kissel and Raymond Kissel; and his siblings, Janis Marshall, James Kissel and Joseph Kissel.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Kissel; his children, John R. Kissel Jr., Michael Kissel and Andrea Conti (John); his grandsons, Zachary Conti and Anthony Conti; and his sisters, Jane Moore (Sonny) and Joni Barry (Dan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
