He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Moats and Vandalia Moats; his wife Mary; his sister Gale Klett; and his grandson-in-law Tom McGarvey.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis (Holly) and Kevin; his grandchildren, Katie McGarvey, Genna and Ashley; his great grandchild Aaron McGarvey; and his pet Calie.
