With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Marcinkoski (Akron, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Slevin and Anne Slevin (McDermott); her husband Paul; her brother Tom Slevin; and her granddaughter Natalie Altieri.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Marcinkoski (Monica), Dr. Joan Kolodzik (Paul) and Dr. Beth Altieri (Bruce); her grandchildren, Jena Wright (Kyle), Alena Postlethwait (Kyle), Daniel (Dana), Sarah, Matthew Kolodzik, Christopher Marcinkoski (Erin), Audrey Bouscher (Thomas), Lauren Steudler (Bill) and Steven; her great grandchildren, Tate, Leighton Marcinkoski, Mohan, Nahanaeli Bouscher, Stella, Blakely, Collins Gruska, Harper, William Steudler, Camille Postlethwait and Leo Wright; and her sisters, Geri Orr and Sue Tuxill.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and at 12:30 PM at the Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church (2425 Myersville Rd, Akron, OH 44312). A Mass will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
