It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Gail Hayes (Akron, Ohio), born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Jones; her stepfather Calvin Jones; her brother Richard Basile; her granddaughter BJ Hayes; and her friend Charlene Callahan.
She is survived by: her husband Wilbur (Red); her children, Connie Morrison (Ben), Scott Hayes (Cindy) and Shawn Hayes; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Eric, Tami, Jacob, Mason, Brandon, Brooke, Rachel, Shianne and Madison; and her great grandchildren, Giovanni, Nora Jean and Kayson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan's name to the Shoreline Community Church, 790 Carnegie Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44314.
