He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Wynn and John Howard Wynn, Sr.; his siblings, John Howard Wynn, Jr. (Pee Wee), Hecliff Akra, Ralph E. McCormick (Gene) and Faith Johnson; his close friend Felton Shropshire; and also Juanaquee Ellis Winn.

He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Stafford-Wynn; his children, Ericka Wynn, Shannon Carson, Dietra Goggins, Alan Cannon Wynn, Jermaine Winn, Darnell Ellis and Demetrius Parker, Sr. (Audrey); his siblings, Gwendolyn Nesby, Beatrice Matthews, Ardis Whiteside, Helen Braziel, Nadine Wynn, Cynthia Hill and Eric Hill (Eywana); his siblings-in-law, Arthur Stafford, Jr., Roger Stafford and Susan Singleton (Niecy); and his niece Jaquita Williams.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rhoden Memorial (1101 Palmetto Ave, Akron, OH 44306). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Mt. Peace Cemetery (217 Kent Ave NE, Hartville, OH 44632).

“Having to say goodbye to my brother is very hard. My memories of him will always dwell in my heart. Jimmy was our protector, always keeping us safe and out of harms way.He was strict and firm with us. We could not roam the streets or be in the wrong places,if he saw us whether on Wooster Ave or other neighbor street, we as his young sisters were ushered home quickly or suffer consequences which was usually a pop upside the head. I loved him for this because he kept us safe and out of harms way.”
