He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Shaffer and Elsie Shaffer (McHugh); his wife Marlene Shaffer (Pahel); his daughters, Elizabeth Williams and Belinda Shaffer; his grandsons, Dennis Lehman and Christian Moretti; his siblings, Harold Shaffer (Dutch), Elmore Shaffer (Moe), Sharon Moison, Carole Burke and Margaret Ruess; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Shaffer, Robert Burke and Joseph Ruess.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl L. Watt of Tuscarawas, Susan Shaffer of Akron, James Shaffer (Debbie) of Colorado Springs, Jeff Shaffer (Pat) of Colorado Springs, Eric Shaffer (Christina) of Vienna and Clarence Shaffer of Austintown; his brother Jack Shaffer (Tina) of Poland, Ohio; and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Shaffer and Daniel Moison. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gibson Heights Second Presbyterian Church (755 E Dewey Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502).
