He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Freshwater and Elizabeth "Jean" Freshwater; and his brothers, Charles "Chuck" Freshwater and John Freshwater. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, James Jason "J. J." and Shelly; his grandson Landon; his sister Nancy Bray (Rowland); and his sister-in-law Kathy Freshwater. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
