He was predeceased by: his parents, August Harig and Mary Harig; his wife Catherine; and his daughter Mary. He is survived by: his children, James Jr., Teresa Wile, Janice Varca (Jimmy), Keith (Kathy), Kevin (Vicki) and Joe (Cassie); and his son-in-law Rich Storey. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew's Outreach Program.
