It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Gilbert Finney (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on February 23, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peggy Finney and George Finney; his wife Elaine; his children, Carol Finney, Lori Phelps, Kelli Moore (David) and Robert Finney; and his sister Alice Marie Blitz (Jerry). He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Donations in Jimmy's honor may be made to the Akron Summit County Public Library LEDS Program, to help share his love of reading far and wide.
