He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayman Dixon and Penny Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Clara Dixon; his sons, James Dixon Jr. and Johnny Dixon; and his stepchildren, Eddie M. Haines Jr. and Sherry Gibbs. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
