We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2024, at the age of 69, James Bridgeforth of Akron, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bridgeforth and Carlesa Bridgeforth Sr.; and his brothers, Robert "Bobby" Felton and Gregory Bridgeforth. He is survived by: his close friend Michael Delanie; his wife Valerie Bridgeforth; his children, Omar Bridgeforth, Phillip Douglas, Dionne Melton, Dorlisa Finney and Kaylynn Bridgeforth; his siblings, Carlesa Paxton, Geraldine Edding and Philip Bridgeforth; his grandsons, Cameron Mitchell, Javiar "Jay" Finney, Jonathan "Ray" Finney, Jonah Finney, Milian Underwood, Phillip Douglas Jr., Zamier Wertz, Caleb Douglas and Kyler Douglas; and his great grandchildren, Malasia Finney and Jonahia Finney.
