We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2020, at the age of 88, James Bolton Pyke of Akron, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James and Emma; his stepdaughter Elizabeth; his wife Terry; his children, Jim and Suzy; and his grandson Max.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elizabeth A. Pyke Prize in history at Rice University.
