It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Carruthers (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hengle and Marie Hengle (Cefcik); her husband Jack Carruthers; her son Don Carruthers; and her siblings, Mary Grannazio, George Hengle, John Hengle, Frank Hengle, Anna Howard, Mathias Hengle, Emma Naska, Fritz Hengle and Jacob Hengle.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Carruthers (Greta), Carol Herchenroder (Andrew), Jack Carruthers (Carol) and Bob Carruthers (Aimee); her daughter-in-law Debbie Carruthers; her grandchildren, Anita (Brian), Dawn, Tyson, Jackson and EmmaLee; her great grandchildren, Samantha, Ashleigh, Jessica, Kylie, Jenna, Zoey and Katelyn; and her sister Catherine Guagliardo.
