He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivor Shuster and Loretta Shuster (Burns); his wife Virginia; his son Brian; his children-in-law, Terri and Peter Burdzel; and his siblings, Bob, Norma Stanley and Carolyn Wagner.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Burdzel, Tim Shuster (Pam) and Susan Moore (Ron). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
