It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gracie L. Burr (Akron, Ohio), born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Burr Jr.; her parents, Lilly Mae McCray and Robert Grant (Irene); her brother Sammie Grant; and her father-in-law Willie Burr (Lucille).
She is survived by: her children, April Ameen (Najm), Adrian Burr (Charles L. Barnett Jr.) and Darren "Dino" Burr; her sisters, Sarah Figaro of Yuba City, CA, Maxine Grant of Houston, TX, Joyce McCray (Michigan), Jacqueline Dawson of Oakdale, PA and Sheila Grant of Akron, OH; her siblings-in-law, Geraldine Burr, Marjorie Burr, Edwin Burr, Robert Burr (Gloria) and Gerald Burr; her grandchildren, Rayvon Burr (Cheyenne Sky), Cash'e Moore, Najm Porter, Ameen Stanley, Germaine Burr, Najiah Bedford and Amir Bedford; and her close friends, Sandy Hutch, Betty Jackson, Orlee Dunn, Jean Sims, Barb Grant, Roberta Peters and Berlin Anderson. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
