He was predeceased by: his parents, Gifford Menteer and Louise Menteer (Peters); and his son John Menteer. He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Bill Menteer (Janet), Brandy Menteer, Michael Menteer (Casey), Jason Menteer (Jen) and Tracy Hetrick; his stepson David Harris (Kim); and his siblings, Gary Menteer and Barbara Campbell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
