It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Meckler (Akron, Ohio), born in North Adams, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 24, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Vergunst and Hendrica Vergunst; and her husband Joe. She is survived by: her children, Gayle Strzelecki (Michael), Joe Meckler Jr. (Monica), Jeff Meckler (Cara) and Cheryl Breusch; and her cousin Anke Myers. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Trudy's memory.
