He was predeceased by: his parents, Doretta Kirksey and Felix Rushin Sr.; his parents-in-law, Rose and James Knight; his aunts, Leona Rall, Verdale Hines, Inez Ray, Minnie Rall and Delores Watson; and his cousin James Hank Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Glenis Rushin; his daughter Felisha Rushin; his stepchildren, Philip Rushin, Glenanda and Thaysa; his grandson Darnell Pryor Jr.; and his siblings, Roosevelt Rushin, William Kirksey (Cheryl), James E. Kirksey (Leah), Theodore Kirksey (Deb), David Kirksey (Kim), William Harris (Cecelia), Deborah Heath (Reginald) and Katherine Kirksey (Jerry).
