She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Harbour and Henry Dean; her husband Bobby Lee Gibson; and her daughter Sharon Dean (Lawrence James). She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy, Edna and Angela; her grandchildren, Kaneca (Deon), Latasha (John), Shayla, Candace (Terrell), Chantel (Tim) and Ben Askew III; her goddaughters, Sherry Singleton, Ebony Rollins and Teresa Singleton; and her nieces, Pearlene Morris and Lora Speight. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
